Get Free Audio Books for Kids While Schools Are Closed

For as long a schools are closed during the Covid-19 outbreak, Audible is offering free access to hundreds of audiobooks for kids via Audible Stories.

To take advantage of this great offer, and to get you little (and not so little) ones listening to a good book, head to stories.audible.com and click the Start Listening button. You can do this in both your desktop and mobile browser, although you can’t access the free stories through the audible app itself.

All of the kids audiobooks are free to listen to, and require no Audible/Amazon account to access. Once you have chosen a book to listen to, click on the cover image and then simply click/tap Start Listening.

Stories has content in six languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, and Japanese. Use the categories menu at the top of the Discover page to choose the stories that are right for you. You can find English stories in categories like Littlest Listeners, Tween, and Literary Classics. All of our other content is grouped into categories by language. Browse through the categories or use the search function to look for books and authors you know.

If you want to stop a story and come back to listen later, you must use the same device and browser – then you can pick up where you left off. Remember that you can only continue listening to your most recent story. For instance, if you start listening to Title A and then switch to listening to Title B, only your place in Title B will be saved.
